I provide individual and group supervision for Registered Oregon LPC Associates, graduate school interns and consultation to other professionals. Being a supervisor is a very a rewarding experience. I decided to pursue training as an LPC supervisor because I was inspired by the supervision and mentorship I received from highly skilled and wise LPC’s in my counseling community. I wanted to provide the same support and encouragement that is so needed in the early years of a counselor’s career. It has been wonderful to find I continue to learn and grow through my work with associates. As a mindfulness-based therapist I provide supervision through the lens of Reflective Supervision which is a collaborative approach that engages associates in a mindfulness process about their thoughts, beliefs and internal experiences that occur during their work with clients. I have found this compassionate approach in supervision aligns with my values. I also strongly recommend that all new practitioners read and complete exercises in The Resilient Practitioner book. This book is written in a developmental format beginning with the novice therapist to the seasoned expert. It provides validation for common therapist growth experiences and asks them to reflect on their internal processes that inform their choices.

As a supervisor, it is important to me to prioritize working with BIPOC therapists who are entering our historically and predominantly White field. I offer a reduced rate of supervision to members of these communities.
